MANSA: Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Bathinda MP, on Wednesday lashed out at the Congress led UPA government for its 'continuous silence' on various multicrore scams.
Accompanied by Rajya Sabha member Balwinder Singh Bhundar, Harsimrat Kaur visited the villages in district Mansa and held public meetings.
Harsimrat alleged that the Congress led UPA has dashed the significance of Parliament to the ground level by keeping mum on the multi-crore scams, which took place right under the nose of Congress led UPA Government.

Enlisting the list of alleged scams committed during the Congress regimes, she said that the Rs 75000 crore commonwealth scam, Rs 25000 crore Adarsh Scam, 2G scam of Rs 1.75 lakh crore have created ripples in the social, political arena of the country. She said that the recently unearthed Coalgate scam would prove the last nail in the coffin of UPA in 2014 election. She said that Congress did not raise any voice against its ministers, virtually involved for these scams. She said that these scams have left indelible scar on the image of country and Congress would have to pay for this in 2014.
The Member Parliament also said that not only the Indian media but the top foreign media corroborate that UPA government is one of the most corrupt government in the Indian history. She said that the decimation of Indian Rupees, skyrocketing inflation, weekly increase in petro-products were some manifestations of disorientation of Congress led UPA government.
Meanwhile, Harsimrat Kaur also held sangat darshans in the villages of Sardulgarh villages including Raipur, Chachohar, Karipur Doom, Kothe Jatana Kalan, Bhunder and Kahanke. She handed over cheques of Rs. 30 lakh for the development works in these villages. She said that SAD-BJP Government was committed for the overall development of rural areas of Punjab.
Prominent amongst those were present on the occasion included Balwindar singh Bhundar Member Parliament, Amit Dhaka, Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Narinder Bhargav SSP, Mithu Singh Kahnke, SGPC Member, Rajdeep Singh Brar, SDM Sardulgarh and Gurpreet Singh Bananwali, President Youth Akali Dal.
